Graphic Leadership: Standard of Living vs. Quality of Life

Isn’t it obvious when you say it aloud?

However, lurking in the shadows of our belief system might easily and understandably be the very opposite of this equation, and the leader begins to pursue a higher standard of living believing that it will automatically deliver him/her a higher quality of life.  After all . . . decades of bombardment by all forms of marketing have singularly presented this false but uniform message.

At the heart of leading oneself is the ability to know when the pursuit of a higher standard of living is actually producing a lower quality of life.  Successfully leading oneself after all is where true leadership begins.
