Just as a musician designing a well-produced album will typically intersperse slower songs with songs of higher energy, the club leader will want to provide a variety-filled calendar for the members with lectures interspersed with meetings that give members opportunities to perform with meetings that provide for activities in which members interact with other members – getting to know each other better as well as times in which an expert in a certain genre in magic brought in to teach.
In my experience, this will not happen by chance but only by planning the themes of each meeting a year at a time – allowing flexibility for those obviously unseen circumstances bound to arise as the year unfolds.
