Graphic Leadership: It’s Enough

For some leaders it’s never good enough, fast enough, or big enough. Those beliefs typically are false beliefs held by the leader about himself/herself and his/her followers. Such an attitude demoralizes at all levels.

It’s a small step from believing its not enough to believing you’re not enough. When that line is crossed, the soul sapping begins.

A mature leader has the courage to rally his/her team with the cry of “It’s good enough” – conserving their energy for other projects as opposed to grinding on them to close the gap on that last 20% of the project which we know will take 80% of the energy (see the article on the PARETO principle for more on this subject).

Have you told your team lately that they’ve done enough and it’s good enough?
