I must admit that when we first started using name tags at our meetings, there was some mild opposition vocalized with statements like “Why do we need to wear name tags? We know everybody here.”
However, not unlike the principle in business “dress for the position you want,” we persisted with the hope that very soon as we grew, they wouldn’t know everyone there, and name tags would be an expected part of each event.
That is exactly how it has turned out.
With the growth of our club name tags make perfect sense now.
