What is this ebook?
It started out as a 100 page book – describing a money-making school show idea where families would gather for a magic show with a twist.
Every trick (plus more) in the show were available for purchase in the back of the room following the show.
My requirement was that all of the tricks needed to be self-manufactured for under $1 with a perceived value significantly higher.
The book contains the instruction sheets that were included in the envelope with each trick.
Then when assuming the Executive Directorship of The Omaha Magical Society, I began to see it as a resource for our Junior Magicians’ program, and several of the tricks did make it into our eventually released Magic That Matures curriculum.
Finally I saw it as a collection of magic instructions without props.
There was born the idea for an activity at one of our monthly events The DIY Challenge with a collection of miscellaneous household articles in the front of the room pertaining to the instruction sheets selected for that meeting. Table teams would select a couple of the instruction sheets and then build, routine, and present their magical masterpieces.
With 35 different instruction sheets, we had enough for several monthly events.
