When brainstorming ideas or concepts (i.e. What are some fund raising ideas we could do for our magic club?), it’s not unusual for the audience to call out items for the list quicker than the scribe in the front of the room can add them to the list on the poster paper.
Here’s where the concept of multiple scribes enters the picture.
Instead of one person with one piece of poster paper, have three (or more) pieces of poster paper on the wall with just as many scribes.
As the items are called out by the audience, move from left to right with one person taking each item as they’re called out and then going back again to the left again for as many rounds as needed to complete the brainstorming process.
We find it keeps the energy in the room high in what can be a dynamic activity.
