What if you told your club meeting audience that at the end of the guest lecture you were going to ask each person what their best idea from the lecture might have been?

Then after the lecture and before the lecturer’s product table opened, you followed through on your promise and had everyone stand as you called a person by name and tossed a Koosh ball to him/her who then shared their best idea from the lecture and then called out someone else’s first name (very important to give them a heads-up) and tossed the ball to them as the first person sat down. And yes there will be some duplications.

Eventually the whole room would be sitting (after the last person shared their best idea), and the lecture’s product table would be open for business with a raised energy level. There would also be a general satisfaction level with the number of ideas generated by the lecture.

Time well spent – ensuring each attendee has identified at least one takeaway from the lecture.
