When you want a member to share their knowledge on a given subject – knowing that member’s tendency to ramble; don’t hand them the microphone while you go sit down.
Interview them instead. You will maintain control of the direction of the presentation and minimize the chances that the member will go on and on.
You’ll be thankful you shifted to this strategy.
And so will other club members.
