Sometimes we build our monthly events featuring one of our more seasoned members.
When we do this, we ask the performer to bring his/her “A” material for a twenty minute performance and also to bring enough supplies to teach the group a favorite magic trick of theirs for about twenty minutes in which members get to have hands-on practice with the trick.
That then leaves us with twenty minutes that might be filled with another feature such as a “Work in Progress” segment as explained in the previous post or a panel/interview discussion on a magic topic of practical interest to the group.
This twenty-minute segment is usually inserted between the featured member’s performance and the segment where s/he teaches their trick. We would then have our raffle drawing at the end of our event.
