Graphic Leadership: The Reaction Continuum

A leader understands that not only does s/he have a choice as to whether or not to react to any situation but also how intense that response will be.

The extremes of this continuum are the most intense (and also where the drug adrenaline is dispensed).

Most of life happens in the middle which also by coincidence is a “drug free zone.”

Leaders understand that reacting in the middle (whenever s/he chooses to even react) helps the leader maintain control of their emotions. Such a discipline adds an important quality to a leader’s presence.
