Rational Emotive Therapy teaches that happiness can be determined by how you answer three basic questions:
- What do I need (as opposed to want) in life?
- What can others psychologically (versus physically) do to me?
- What does the world owe me?
Happiness can only come and remain when the individual has dealt with the reality of those three questions – holding that perspective firmly in place. A leader exhibits such a resoluteness and is thus quite attractive to follow.
