As a leader seeks to allocate his/her energy, s/he’s diligent to not give much of this finite resource to resisting the impermanence of life. In his/her effort to pursue security (and who doesn’t) s/he doesn’t seek to find it by manipulating the inevitable fact of impermanence.
The leader wisely understands that the fact of impermanency cuts both ways. No matter how bad something is it will not continue forever. And no matter how good something is, it will not continue forever.
Building a strategy around coping with the impermanency of life proves itself be a much better approach than wasting energy on trying to change the reality of the situation.
