Graphic Leadership: Why Do They Like You?

In what I consider to be the most significant posting in this series, I spoke to the importance of dividing your Identity from your Roles.  Please click HERE to revisit that posting.

In order to accomplish that task, it is essential that a person carefully analyzes why each person in their life might be attracted to them.  A leader seeks to not confuse the people who like her for who she is from those who like/follow her for what she does.

Only after that honest differentiation has been made is a leader ready to surround himself/herself with those people who do truly like them for who they are.  This is one of the quickest ways to strength the Identity of the leader and separate that Identity from their performance in the Roles s/he might fulfill.
