It has been my observation that some people have more trouble than others grasping the concept graphically depicted in this poster.

“How could I be at fault when I didn’t do anything?” the follower might ask. The insightful leader replies “That is why you’re at fault … because you did nothing.”

By not stepping up and trying to stop that which s/he observed, the follower shares in the responsibility of the event occurring.

A leader reinforces this principle through his/her own character and actions so that his/her followers never view passivity as a trait to be cultivated.
