Can you pick the leader from the committee members sitting around the table?
It’s a trick question. Don’t try too hard.
Actually any of the committee members might be a leader with the exception of the fellow in the far right corner. He’s just slid his chair back from table, inserted his index finger in his mouth, and is now trying to determine which way the wind is blowing.
In contrast, a leader has his/her chair pulled up fully to the table and is willing to own his/her opinion no matter which way the wind is blowing or the mood of the room. That’s part of what makes him/her a leader.
