Graphic Leadership: A Crisis

poster-crisis

In sales, we call it conducting an autopsy.  When a buyer doesn’t purchase what we believe was a good fit for his or her business, we take time to stop and analyze whether or not there was anything that we could have done to have influenced the outcome to a decision to purchase.

As tempting as it is to just move on to the next deal and keep our mojo at a high level, neither do we want to waste the pain we just experienced.  Learning a lesson(s) from the experience is one way to make sure that pain isn’t going to go to waste.  It becomes time very well spent.

When a leader is on the other side of a crisis, s/he takes time to sit with his/her followers to analyze the crisis, and see what lessons might they want to raise to a conscious level so that the chances of them happening again are minimized.

An effective leader knows Don’t Waste A Crisis.
