Most leaders would never describe themselves as “quitters” or “losers.” However, that very robust determination can cause them to not bow to the realities of their situation until resources have been consumed and rebuilding made more difficult.
The poster entitled The Room Of Reality reminds us that reality always wins. The denial of realities only prolongs the inevitable. Consequently, a strong leader has learned that know when to quit is as important as knowing when to start. They have frame the act of surrendering to reality so that they don’t view themselves as either “quitters” or “losers” but merely leaders able to look reality straight in the eye without flinching as they plan their next course of action.
