Graphic Leadership: Choices

poster-makeyourchoices

A choice is not a choice if you can’t do anything else than what you choose to do.  You cannot choose to compromise in a negotiation unless you have the strength in yourself not to compromise.  Until you have the strength to not compromise the choice to compromise is not really a choice.  You are merely acquiescing out of weakness.

You cannot choose to subordinate your needs to the needs of another until you have the courage not to subordinate your needs to the needs of another.  The examples are endless.

A leader checks himself/herself from time to time to make sure that the choices s/he makes are truly choices made out of strength and not merely an accommodation made out of weakness.  Where the leader finds that s/he is not responding out of strength s/he begins to seek out ways to strengthen that area so that true choices can begin to be made.
