Graphic Leadership: Work Never Done

poster-upset

Although the title might lead you to a different conclusion, this is not about the fact that “a leader’s work is never done” as true as that might be.

Rather it has to do with what is probably the most satirical poster in this series.  I had to read it more than once to catch its irony.

When you don’t get the results you want, don’t immediately begin your search for whom to blame.  Instead a leader goes and looks in the mirror – seeking to discover what s/he did or didn’t do to contribute to the lack of results.  Only by taking personal responsibility in this manner does a leader continue to learn and grow while others remain where they are – sitting as a victim of life and blaming life for the bad hand they were dealt.
