When a leader finds that s/he has led his/her followers into a troublesome situation, s/he quickly realizes that s/he will need to call in outside counsel with different perspectives to solve the dilemma. For a leader to merely use his/her own perspectives (i.e. the ones that contributed to the problem) – believing that those same perspectives can now solve the problem is ludicrous.
