I can be no more motivating than I am motivated. Many people say to me, “I want to be able to motivate people.” “I want to be able to motivate others.” “I want to be able to move those that are following me in the direction that I want them to go.”
I’ve returned to them and asked them about their own motivation. How motivated are you? How do you motivate yourself? We look at this more in depth in the poster “Inner Drive.” I’d encourage you to look that up in this book.
To the extent that I’m not motivated I have to deal with that first. My own personal motivation has to be dealt with first for I can be no more motivating to others than I am motivated myself. So, as you seek to motivate others, begin first analyzing how you are motivated. I encourage you to visit “Inner Drive” for more understanding on this important subject.
